Certificate in Marriage and Family Life
A new ecumenical certificate in Marriage and Family Life set up in response to the needs of the church in the region. The course was designed in consultation with diocesan Marriage and Family Life Co-ordinators, with representatives of the Roman Catholic Bishops' Committee for Marriage and Family Life, of Marriage Care, and of the Anglican FLAME network to meet training needs within these gorups and the churches they represent. Held at Ushaw College, Durham and involving three residential weekends (15-17 November 2002, 7-9 March & 9-11 May 2003) with practical projects undertaken by participants in their local area. It has recently received validation by Durham University as part of a new modular postgraduate training in Theology and Minstry, but is also open to those not seeking an academic award.
